At Cefn Loge Care Home we aim to provide a peaceful, friendly atmosphere in a homely and comftable enviroment. Also known as Care & Repair agencies, are local non-profit organisations set up to help older people think about, plan, finance and organise work on their homes. These services tackle smaller repair jobs, including installing safety & security devices. Care services offered to people in housing-with-care facilities are regulated, subject to periodic inspections and awarded grades.

Overlooking our south-facing, landscaped gardens and patio, our bright and sunny conservatory is a popular spot, whatever the time of year. Here, residents enjoy relaxing with a good book, sipping a cup of tea or a chatting with a friend. Neath House has been purpose-built and specifically designed with care in mind. We blend first-rate facilities and comfort with a friendly atmosphere and are dedicated to giving the kind of care that we’d offer to our own precious family members. As a family-owned and run company, we provide a home from home environment so the residents can live with dignity and respect.

We use our lounges, cinema room, library and patio areas for a wide variety of exciting activities and events. You can always tell when something is going on, by the singing, chatting and laughing and that's exactly how we want it.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, some features mentioned below may be limited, for example; visiting our care home, as well as some entertainment and events. For current details, please speak to our Home Manager using the details provided at the bottom of this page. "All staff from the home manager to domestics very friendly. Go out of their way to make you feel at home as friends." For services we haven't rated we use ticks and crosses to show whether we've asked them to take further action or taken enforcement action against them.
In our cinema room, we screen regular films, choosing old favourites and newer discoveries as well as welcoming live entertainers to strut their stuff. We enjoy a full programme of activities, including arts and crafts, flower arranging, exercise classes, movement to music and chair yoga. Whatever the people who live here enjoy, we try to bring it to our home; promoting happiness, mobility and sociability. Housing-with-care developments run by housing associations and local authorities tend to be called ‘extra care’ or ‘independent living’ schemes, and explicitly seek to accommodate people who need daily help. Generally the whole complex will be designed with attention to accessibility for residents with restricted mobility. We have therefore encouraged every provider to open their ‘online windows and doors’ to help you make an informed choice. The profile score is a measure of how much information has been provided. We understand placing your loved one in a care home can be an emotional time.
The purpose of this Enter and View programme was to engage with residents, their relatives or carers, to explore their overall experience of living in Neath House care home. As well as building a picture of their general experience, we asked about experiences specifically related to how COVID-19 and the related restrictions impacted on their lives and on their care. Hollins Wood which provides residential care while Hollins Park caters to individuals with nursing or continuing health care needs. Cefn Lodge Care Home is registered to provide both personal and nursing care for older persons up to a maximum of 35 individuals.

Undergoing refurbishment, Neath House certainly lives up to our high standards, matched by exceptional levels of care delivered from the hearts of our committed and compassionate team. – there are some services which we can’t rate, while some might be under appeal from the provider. – the service is performing badly and we've taken enforcement action against the provider of the service.
